Finally Moving Dirt in MBP Lot 21

8’ x 8’ Building Footings

Apeak Invest’s first sponsored project - a 11,800 SF multi-unit warehouse in Maui Business Park - officially kicked off in mid-October. The permitting process spanned more than a year, drawn out extensively by the exhaustive SMA permitting process. With permits in hand, grading took up the majority of a month followed by installation of bathroom sewer lines and clean-outs. As illustrated by the photo in this post, we’re now in the preliminary stages of setting the foundation. Large 8’ x 8’ footings are being dug along the building’s corners and gridlines, creating immense structural support for the building in the event of hurricane-category winds. Rebar tying and the cement pour will happen in the coming weeks, hitting a milestone year-end mark for this project. 2022 started in slow fashion with a lengthy grind towards permit approval by September 8th and picked up speed wit the start of construction a month later. It’s great to finally see dirt moving and the building footprint take shape. 2023 see the project go vertical with the arrival of our steel building and the erection of the components by spring time. Stay tuned for more progress on one of the newest additions to Maui’s warehouse supply.
